Emotional Freedom Technique
EFT is an effective and powerful way to create lasting change in your life.
EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique (sometimes called Tapping) and, in essence, it is emotional acupuncture. It is based on the same energy meridians used in traditional acupuncture to treat physical and emotional ailments for over five thousand years, but without the invasiveness of needles.
Instead, simple tapping with the fingertips is used to input kinetic energy onto specific meridians on the head and chest while you focus on your specific problem - whether it is a traumatic event, PTSD, weight loss, an addiction, pain or emotional blocks.
This combination of tapping the energy meridians and voicing positive affirmation works to clear the "short-circuit" - the emotional block -- from your body's bioenergy system, thus restoring your mind and body's balance, which is essential for optimal health and the healing of physical disease.
EFT uses elements of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Exposure Therapy, and combines them with Acupressure, in the form of fingertip tapping on 12 acupuncture points.
Over 20 clinical trials published in peer-reviewed medical and psychology journals have demonstrated that EFT is effective for phobias, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, pain, and other problems.
As a qualified EFT Practitioner I will work with you through a series of exercises to get to the core of your chosen issue, and then create a powerful EFT sequences to clear the energetic block and guide you through the EFT practice.
